About Mud & Art Experiences

Mud & Art is an on-site experience brand based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. We bring pottery wheels, natural clay, equipment, and master artisans directly to your chosen venue in Pune (offices, schools, offsites, cafes, and private gatherings). We do not run an open walk-in retail storefront.

1. General & Acceptance

Welcome to Mud & Art (mudandart.in). By accessing this website, submitting an inquiry, or confirming a workshop booking, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Mud & Art is based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Throughout these Terms & Conditions, the terms “Mud & Art,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Mud & Art. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not access the website or book our experiences.

2. Workshop Bookings & Experience Delivery

Mud & Art conducts facilitated clay sessions, wheel-throwing demonstrations, hand-building workshops, corporate team-building events, and seasonal initiatives (such as Seed Ganesha workshops).

Online Requests are Non-Binding Inquiries

Submitting a booking form or custom request on this website does not constitute a confirmed financial booking or guaranteed date reservation. Every submission is subject to studio availability, instructor scheduling, and formal written confirmation by Mud & Art.

Group Capacities & Venue Logistics

Because we bring physical wheels and studio materials to your location, workshops have minimum participant requirements (for example, standard corporate sessions typically require a minimum of 30 participants, while custom gatherings are planned according to written agreement). Venues must provide basic access to water, electric power for motorized wheels where applicable, and suitable level floor space.

Booking Confirmation

A workshop is considered formally confirmed only after mutual written agreement on dates, timings, venue details, and receipt of any required advance payment.

3. Payments & Invoicing

Mud & Art does not process financial transactions directly on this website. There is no integrated payment gateway.

  • Pricing for private sessions, corporate engagements, and community workshops is calculated based on group size, duration, materials, and venue logistics.
  • Quotations, commercial proposals, and official invoices are issued directly to the client or organization coordinator.
  • Payment terms, accepted modes of transfer (such as direct bank transfer or UPI), and advance payment requirements are specified on the formal invoice or written quotation.
  • All applicable statutory taxes and levies are stated transparently on official invoices.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

Because our workshops involve advance clay preparation, transport of specialized pottery wheels, and booking artisan educators, cancellations and date changes require timely advance notice.

72-Hour Cancellation Rule

If a workshop is cancelled within 72 hours before the scheduled workshop start time, the advance payment is non-refundable because Mud & Art has already prepared and arranged the required materials, master artisans, and other workshop requirements.

Cancellations More Than 72 Hours in Advance

If you need to reschedule or cancel a confirmed workshop more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled date, please notify us in writing at mudandartstudio@gmail.com. Rescheduling is subject to studio calendar availability and written agreement between both parties.

Studio-Initiated Changes

In the rare event that Mud & Art must reschedule or cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances, severe weather disruptions, or sudden artisan unavailability, we will immediately offer a mutually agreed alternative date or provide a refund of fees paid for the affected session.

5. Workshop Participation & Safety

Pottery is a tactile, hands-on craft involving wet clay, spinning wheels, water, and modeling tools.

  • Attire: Natural terracotta and stoneware clays wash out of most fabrics with water, but participants are strongly advised to wear comfortable, informal clothing and trim fingernails for wheel throwing.
  • Safety Instructions: Participants must follow the instructions of the lead facilitator and master potters at all times, particularly when operating motorized pottery wheels or handling trimming tools.
  • Supervision of Minors: For family workshops, school groups, and youth events, participating children under 16 must be accompanied or supervised by a responsible adult, educator, or legal guardian.
  • Sensitivities: Natural clays and slip are dermatologically mild earth minerals. Participants with pre-existing skin conditions or allergies should notify facilitators prior to the session.

6. Photography, Video & Media

To celebrate the craft of pottery and showcase the beauty of handmade work, Mud & Art may capture documentary photographs and short video clips during sessions for educational, portfolio, and website gallery display.

Right to Opt Out

We respect your personal privacy. If you, your family members, or your corporate organization prefer not to appear in photos or media, simply inform our facilitator before the workshop commences, or email mudandartstudio@gmail.com at any time to request the removal of any photo from our public website.

7. Intellectual Property

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or publish any website content without prior written permission from Mud & Art.

8. Website Usage & Conduct

  • The use or inability to use this website.
  • Personal belongings, clothing stains, or items damaged at a workshop venue.
  • Unavoidable event delays caused by external logistical factors, traffic, or venue power failures.

Participants engage in clay making and craft activities voluntarily and are responsible for exercising ordinary personal care throughout the session.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Any legal disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or related to these Terms, our website, or our workshop agreements shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
